Who we are

Letsure (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a property inspection record-keeping service for landlords and tenants in the UK and Ireland, operated by Daniel Sessions as a sole trader trading as Letsure. Letsure is not a registered company. Letsure is currently in public beta.

Information we collect

When you create a Letsure account and use the service, we collect:

  • Your name, email address, and password (your password is stored and verified by AWS Cognito, our authentication provider; we never see or store it ourselves)
  • Property addresses and tenancy details you add to the service
  • Inspection reports, including condition notes and photos, that you or the other party to a tenancy create
  • Timestamps of actions you take in the service, such as creating, sharing, or responding to a report

Why we process your data

We process your personal data on the basis of performance of a contract: we need this information to provide the inspection record-keeping service you've signed up to use.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of processors to run Letsure:

  • AWS Cognito, for account authentication
  • AWS hosting infrastructure in the eu-west-1 (Ireland) region, where your data is stored
  • An email delivery provider, to send account verification and notification emails

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share your data with any other third party.

Cookies

Letsure uses only essential session cookies, managed by next-auth, to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

How long we keep your data

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as necessary to preserve inspection records for their evidentiary purpose. For example, we may retain records to support a tenancy deposit dispute.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request erasure of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
